How we practice

One doctor, start to finish
Dr. Keun-Hye Lee, a board-certified orthodontic specialist, personally handles every stage from the start of treatment to retention. Diagnosis, appliance adjustments and any finishing cosmetic work happen in one clinic, without a handover.

Non-surgical options assessed first
For underbite and facial asymmetry, we separate skeletal causes from jaw-joint and bite causes. When the joint position and the bite are the cause, correction can be attempted without surgery.

Growth-stage care for children
A child's jaw growth can be guided to address underbite, protrusion and a receding chin early. We assess when a check-up is due so the window that exists only during growth is not missed.

Experience with patients who live abroad
The clinic was previously registered with Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare as a medical institution for international patients (that registration is not currently active). Drawing on that experience and on treatment coordinated through overseas networks, we plan aligner schedules for patients on business trips, studying abroad or working overseas.

How do I book an orthodontic consultation?
Call +82-2-552-3000 or message the KakaoTalk channel "강남워싱턴치과". After a detailed diagnosis with X-rays and an intraoral scan, we explain the treatment method, expected duration and fees.
Do an underbite or facial asymmetry always need surgery?
No. Not every underbite or facial asymmetry calls for surgery. When the cause is the jaw-joint position or the bite, non-surgical orthodontic correction can be attempted. Whether the cause is skeletal is determined by a detailed diagnosis.
Are you open on weekday evenings or Saturdays?
Yes. We are open until 20:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 10:00 to 15:00 on Saturday. We are closed on Thursday, Sunday and public holidays.
Can I be treated if I do not speak Korean?
Consultations are conducted in Korean. Contact the KakaoTalk channel "강남워싱턴치과" before your visit so the clinic can prepare, and consider bringing a Korean-speaking companion or using a translation app. X-rays and scan images are used to explain the diagnosis visually.
